IDEA Independent User Groups

Starting an IDEA Independent User Group


If you have the interest in starting an IDEA Independent User Group (IIUG) in your area, you are not alone! Audimation Services is committed to s upporting you along the way. Below are recommendations and resources available to each IIUG.


First Steps:


  • Contact Audimation - Fill out the contact form. At your request, we will contact users in the surrounding areas to see if they are interested in joining the group you're starting.
  • Communication to IDEA Users - We will send you a list of interested IDEA users in your area to contact for the IIUG.

    *Customer lists may not be used for communications other than those related to IIUG events.

  • Create a Plan
  • Review Audimation Services' Support
  • Set Meeting Location
  • Define Objectives
  • Compose an Agenda
  • Organization of the Group - Divide the roles (suggestions below)
  • Financing of the Group - There will be times you may need to coordinate food for a meeting or pay for a speaker.

User Group Member Roles:
As an IIUG, you are able to organize your group however you see fit. Below are recommendations:


  • User Group Leader - point of contact for Audimation Services, sets the meeting agenda, meeting host (introduces new members, moderator)
  • Coordinator - sends out emails to members, orders food (if necessary), assists user group leader in tasks, collect and fees (if necessary)
  • Secretary - takes minutes for meetings

Recommendations:


  • Create a LinkedIn Group - This is a great resource to keep IDEA users connected and involved.
  • Develop an Email Database
  • Create a Calendar of Events
