 After several years of working in public accounting, auditing and consulting, Carolyn Newman traveled to Washington, D.C. to meet with the UK distributor of IDEA - Data Analysis Software. As a computer auditor experienced in using computer assisted audit techniques (CAATs), Newman realized the advantages of using data analysis tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of audits. IDEA was growing in use by government organizations, CPA firms and corporations around the world.
In 1992, Newman founded Audimation Services, Inc. to provide financial professionals with data analysis technology, professional support and training to help IDEA users access, analyze and share data.
