While there are many advantages to developing a companywide collaborative approach to audit, there are also some inherent risks. This session features presentations by IDEA users that are approaching collaboration in similar, but different ways. They will share their successes and challenges in using technology to create a central repository and share their results with stakeholders across business units, while maintaining independence. Participants will be invited to share their own experiences in creating collaborative environments.

  • How to leverage technology to facilitate both internal and external collaboration
  • Strategies for maintaining independence while serving as a strategic advisor
  • Benefits of speaking from the same data to respond quickly to errors, anomalies and fraudulent activity
  • Assess the inherent risks of collaboration, including appointing the right champions within the organizationto ensure exceptions and findings are addressed in a timely manner

To fully maximize your use of IDEA and for faster implementation, we recommend new and experienced users take advantage of our many training opportunities. Our courses are offered throughout the U.S. and online for all levels of users (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced). Many will even earn NASBA CPE credit and help you work toward CaseWare Analytics IDEA Certification.

The best thing about our training - our first-class instructors. We've been working with IDEA for over 20 years - we know the product inside and out. Our instructors are Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), Certified Fraud Examiners (CFEs) and Certified IDEA Data Analysts (CIDA) with experience working in the trenches of accounting, audit and finance. Plus, they make learning fun…now that’s worth signing up for!
