Carolyn Newman co-founded Audimation Services in 1992 to help fellow financial professionals use technology to analyze data, strengthen controls and improve business processes. She brings more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, auditing and consulting to her role as President of Audimation Services.
As a recent badge recipient of the AICPA’s Data Analytics Executive Series, Carolyn is moving Audimation to the forefront of organizations dedicated to helping auditors and financial professionals become Data-Driven leaders so they can turn insights into impact.
Before founding Audimation Services, Carolyn was a regional technical director of computer auditing with BDO Seidman and worked as a management consultant. She is a graduate of Texas Lutheran University and earned a master’s degree in accountancy from the University of Houston. Carolyn is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Institute of CPAs, Texas Society of CPAs, Information Systems Audit & Control Association, Institute of Management Accountants and American Society for Quality. The Texas Society of CPAs has recognized Carolyn as a CPA Pathfinder. Carolyn’s volunteer activities include serving as treasurer of St. Cuthbert Episcopal Church, an at-large member of the Business and Industry Issues Committee of TSCPA, and as a committee member of Texas Lutheran Executive Advisory Council for the Business School.
Jill Davies brings more than 40 years of experience as an auditor and manager to her role as Vice President & Director of Operations at Audimation Services. She also manages the product and services delivery operations as well and Audimation’s general admin services. Performing nearly every role within the company – from sales to software support and internal IT management – during her 22-year tenure, Jill not only recognizes clients’ needs, but she understands how to meet and exceed expectations. As the first person at Audimation to master and teach IDEAScript, Jill was able to help code the original set of automated apps and developed several IDEAScript programs for industry publications, always with clients in the forefront of her mind.
Before joining Audimation, Jill worked in the banking industry where she held various positions including bank examiner, auditor, credit analyst, loan officer, operations manager and chief operating officer (COO). She is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University and earned an MBA from the University of Houston. She is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
