Applied Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to convert the paper statements into electronic data files. The process included scrubbing the data to correct interpretation errors and verifying the data for accuracy.

A workforce management global software company needed assurance that their employees were following company spending protocol for T&E purposes.
A list of T&E tests were reviewed on a one-by-one basis where a user could employ all of the tests or a subset. Based on the multiple tests performed, a summary database consisting of the most suspicious employees was created.
A program was designed to import and process data from the expense reimbursement system, including data about travel expenses, such as airfare, hotels and car rentals, and corporate credit card charges. The results uncovered multiple misstatements on time sheets, totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars. The program includes 16 different tests to help detect fraudulent activity.
The internal audit department of a university with 9,500+ students purchased IDEA data analysis software to assist in ad hoc reviews of various data sets.
The University wanted to quickly implement IDEA to analyze accounts payable, P-Card and employee data for duplicates and potential matches to identify potential fraud, but were uncertain about which tests to run.
Audimation proposed various tests for the areas of interest, and provided recommendations about which tests would be most effective.
The University was able to quickly detect matches between AP, P-Card and employees based on unknown addresses and names. IDEAScripts were also developed to create a repeatable process for future audits.
