Data cleansing is a critical step in any effective analysis process. It can be extremely tedious and time consuming without the proper aptitude and proficiency to import and blend raw data to provide the comprehensive analysis required. This webinar will guide intermediate IDEA users through the more complicated @Functions and equation logic to cleanse, format, and profile data to ultimately extract maximum value and deliver meaningful insights.

• Examine field statistics to uncover errors and missing data

• Obtain records containing specific words or phrases contained anywhere in a field

• Identify duplicates using Extractions and Fuzzy logic

• Utilize exclusion joins to identify unmatched data

• Build nested @Functions Work with dates

• Combine with multiple conditions by nesting @if statements

Speaker Bio

Mario Perez brings more than 20 years of auditing and advanced IDEA experience to his position at Audimation, where he delivers training, instructional videos, technical support, and consulting services. Mario was introduced to IDEA as an audit associate at BDO New York in the late 1990s. He has since traveled the world, sharing his enthusiasm for data analytics. He has held exciting roles as an IDEA distributor in Scandinavia to providing training and consulting services in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and The Bahamas.
