DHS Inspector General to Award Sole Source Contract to Audimation Services

Houston – December 12, 2013 – The Office of the Inspector General at DHS has decided to award a sole source contract to Audimation Services, Inc., of Houston, TX, to continue providing software licenses and maintenance support that enables the IG’s office to run its IDEA software.

The license renewal and maintenance support is likely to cost the IG’s office about $28,250, says a “sole source justification” document released on December 11. “DHS-OIG currently owns 65 licenses of IDEA software and 1 IDEA server license and needs to obtain technical support for the licenses,” explained the IG.

The envisioned maintenance support contract will allow the IG’s office to obtain all security patches, application patches, interim upgrades and version upgrades at no additional cost during the life of the contract.

Only Audimation Services, Inc. can furnish these requirements to the IG’s office because Audimation has an exclusive licensing agreement with CaseWare IDEA, Inc.
