An important, yet often understated step in the data analytics process is data preparation and cleansing. Without taking the right steps, data will be of limited use in testing and informing critical business decisions. Data validation is a method for checking the accuracy and quality of your data, as well as it’s completeness and consistency, to help ensure that test results are accurate.
This is a half day course for intermediate IDEA users that will guide students through a hands-on process of importing pdf files and using @functions and built in IDEA analytics to validate data
**Please note participants are required to be actively engaged in the class and complete coursework to qualify for CPE credit.**

Upon completion of this course, users will be able to:
- Importing print reports using multi-line fields and append layers
- Using IDEA @functions to parse data and identify invalid data entries
- Combining @functions into embedded equations
- Review field statistics to uncover errors and missing data
- Identifying duplicates using extractions and fuzzy logic
- Using exclusion joins to identify unmatched data
- Recalculating fields for accuracy
