Technology is advancing at a rapid pace. Internal audit is evolving at a faster rate - even more so in response to Covid-19 and working remotely. However, despite the changes, the promises of technology in audit remain the same:
- Automating time-consuming manual tasks can free up time to examine complex and higher risk areas;
- Auditors can perform advanced analytics, providing greater insight into company operations and analysis of corporate or client trends; and
- By harnessing big data, auditors can correlate disparate data to develop predictive indicators to identify areas of high risk, leading to early detection of fraud and operational risks.
This is good news. But is that how new technologies are working in audit shops today? What do you hope for in the future of audit?
The session, led by Industry Lead, Jeff Sorensen, will probe into issues around Interfacing with the Board and the Audit Committee, communicating results and leading in the new normal. Join this session and join the conversation.
